Details:
The root of the dandelion contains constituents that protect, nourish
and heal the liver. It also stimulates bile flow. It also has some antibacterial effects against E. coli, Staph. aureus, Pseudomonas and others. It also helps lower blood sugar by stimulating the release of insulin.
Dandelion inhibits the replication of certain viruses, including Hepatitis-B and HIV. The latex sap, applied topically, kills warts. Dandelion is a wonderful prebiotic.

Parts used: roots, leaves, flowers
Herbal Actions: alterative, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory,
antiviral, aperient, bitter, carminative, cholagogue, diuretic,
hypoglycemic, prebiotic.
Safety: Safe during pregnancy and lactation, but increase
electrolyte intake.
Drug Interactions: Dandelion may interact with Lithium and
Valium. It may have moderate interactions with pharmaceutical
blood thinners, diuretics and blood pressure medications.

Tinctures: Tinctures are alcohol extracts of herbs. They act a little more quickly in the body and are very portable. Tinctures can be taken alone or mixed with a little juice or water.

Recommended Servings for Humans

For chronic or maintenance issues, twice daily is usually sufficient. For acute situations, dosing can be done more frequently.

Tinctures for Adults: 1/4 to 1 teaspoon 2-3 times daily.
